7. What is Ordinate technology?8. Do you have correlation information between a Versant test and competing tests? Up to three Versant for English Certification tests may be purchased on our website. If you would like to order more than three tests or a test other than the Versant for English Certification test, please contact our sales representatives at +1 650.470.3600 or sales@ordinate.com. We will work with you to determine which test best fits the needs of your organization. If you would like your test takers to prepare for taking a Versant test, they can listen to a sample call on our website. Test takers can also request a sample test from our website. The sample test does not include all sections and questions that appear on full Versant for English tests, but it will allow them to get a sense of how the test works over the telephone. If you would like test takers to take a full Versant test, you can direct them to our website and they can purchase a test. Large quantities of tests can be purchased by contacting our sales representatives at sales@ordinate.com or +1 650.470.3600. In ScoreKeeper, scores can be locked so they can only be viewed by the test administrator. To lock test scores, log into your ScoreKeeper account and click on "List Batches." Select the box "Locked" in the Score Access column of the page. A test is considered used after the spoken directions for Part A are completed. If a test taker attempts to take the test again, they will receive an error message and will be unable to take the test. After a batch has been created, you can download the test papers and instructions at any time. (Note: You can download the batches multiple times, but each individual test can only be taken once and then the Test Identification Number will be disabled.) The patented Ordinate® testing system is based on years of research in speech recognition, statistical modeling, linguistics, and testing theory. The technology uses a speech recognition system that is specifically designed to analyze speech components from native and non-native speakers of English. In addition to recognizing words, the system also locates and evaluates relevant segments, syllables, and phrases in speech. The Ordinate system then uses statistical modeling techniques to assess the spoken performance. Score mapping to other language scales are available upon request for selected Versant tests.
